We are trying to track down a problem with my buddys 150 hp johnson,1986 model. we are getting a buzzer and have ruled out heat and oil buzzer. What I need to know is,,on port side of motor ,above solenoid, there is the fuel vaccum switch,,has a small black hose that t's into main fuel line. I need to know how many wires are hooked onto that, and where they run to,,any pics would be great. This one has 2 wires that come out of the bottom,1 goes to ground and 1 wire goes back on top of switch and goes onto a rubber insulated screw. It is almost like there should be some sort of power wire but there is not. My buddy had the motor apart and we are wondering if a wire got misplaced.

Look for a brown wire that has come loose from the top of the fuel restriction switch and is toucning ground(the block) somewhere. When the brown wire is grounded the buzzer will sound. Good luck

One tan/brown wire is grounded to the block at that switch. The other is wired through the red plug and runs up to the horn on the control box. The switch itself should be grounded.
