anyone own a propeller guard? any good?

Hello,<br /><br />Was curious to find out if any boaters out there has purchased and used a propeeler guard. This is the circular guard around the propeller. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

The only prop guard I have any experience with comes from Cabela's. It bolts to the skeg, and I highly reccomend it to anyone who runs in shallow, rocky waters. I have several customers who swear by them, and am personally looking into becoming a distributor.

hello omctech,<br /><br />I dont run in shallow rivers here. I mainly run in open ocean. would it help me? or should i just stay away.
