I'm looking for a fuel computer thats compatable with NMEA 0183. The only thing I can find is flowscan. While being arguably the best in the buisness, they are way out of my price range to purchace and install on a trailer boat. The Navman fuel 3100 would have been perfect, but they are no longer available after Navman was purchased by Northstar. Anyone know of anything else?

I think you have a hard time as they have all gone to Network type inputs with most GPS makers requireing there own special brand of flow meter

Northstar is still selling the old Navman unit under it's own name. Do a search for F210 digital flow display

Tommays, Lowrance makes a flowmeter that can be used with any NMEA 2000 system, not backward compatable with NMEA 0183 that my Garmin 3200 series uses. The new Garmin systems speak NMEA 2000, and theres a few more options. I'm not ready for that upgrade

Dingbat, the F210 is a flowmeter display only, not networkable at all, and not able to recieve a speed input. Thats probably the way I'm going to go in that I cant find anything that speaks NMEA 0183 (except the flowscan unit)

Thanks for the response, I'll post back if I find anything.

The NAVMAN F3100 can still be bought ... Google it and you find places that have it available. Approx $275 with a fuel sensor and it takes a NMEA input from a GPS.
