Anyone tried to beef up a 15hp Johnson 4 stroke?

Been looking at a 15hp Johnson 4 stroke which I understand is a Suzuki. The 9.9 and 15 is the same motor so I'm not sure if you can get any more extra hp out of the 15. Just wondering if anyone has looked into this. 6000rpm is max recommended range.

good way to ruin a good motor.

4 stroke outboards don't strike me a good idea, I'll let others find out first.
Some of the simple repairs on 2 strokes become major problems with 4 strokes .
In a few yrs I expect to see the used ones selling cheap as repair costs outweigh their value.

If you want more HP, buy a bigger motor ... simple.

Alright gents...I'll focus on getting the right prop and be happy with that.
