Hopefully some of you remember my story and the trouble I had with using a Rapture.

The Apollo is a 13x21P and works very well. Lift is good, but not as good as with the Rapture. Hole shot is good and top end is better I'm getting 45mph on the gps at 5500 rpms.

There is one issue though. When I put it in gear at the lowest rpms 700 it sounds like it's grinding kind of like when I'm putting it in gear. If I bump the rpms up to about 800-900 it goes away.

Do I need to adust something?

Re: Apollo Test Drive

The sound you hear is the type of hub it uses...it's normal...
How far could you trim with this prop?
Did it vent any on acceleration?

Re: Apollo Test Drive

Never vented at all. I could trim it up far enough to get 5600 rpms and it still keep digging and was spraying a tail as high as the motor. If I kept it trimmed that far and slowed down to cruising speed it would start bouncing around.

I had a hard time telling how good the lift was because the water was very very rough, due to pleasure boaters.
