I have a 2004 Ebbtide 210 Campione deck boat (Our first Boat). I am suspicious that the prop is inappropriate, as I am getting only 40 mph (gps) and a max 4000 rpm.
The current prop is a Michigan Wheel 14 1/4 x 21 three bladed prop that is not in perfect condition (straight and smooth, but appears to have been repaired)
The engine is a Volvo Penta 5.0 Gxi with the Penta SX outdrive. It is rated at 270 hp with a max rpm of 5000.
I believe the boat is considered a deep hull and weighs in at a little over 3000 pounds empty (We had around 800 pounds people and 30 gallons gas onboard)
The purpose of the boat is general family recreation, with hole shots being of slightly more importance than speed.
I know very little about boating and props, but I'd like to buy an appropriate prop and use the old one as an emergency spare.
I'd sure appreciate input on what to buy, as well as where to buy it. Thanks a ton!
