any thoughts as to why i have to completely warm my engine up before it will idle by itself. i basically have to hold it at around 2000rpm for about three minutes or until it warms up to running temp before i can back the throttle down to idle or it will stall. i just set the timing back to factory specs, because the guy before me that owned had it at about 24, now its at 6. it starts up better now, which is nice, and i've only noticed slight hesitation when accelerating. just wondering why it won't idle till its hot.

thanks alot guys

They don't have chokes. It's very normal.
Usually a good tuneup and carb adjustment makes it a little better.
