Gentlemen,
Is anyone familiar with the way the vibration dampener/pulley keys to the end of the crankshaft on an 1987 AQ 131A engine? The crankshaft has a key way along its length at the end as you would expect however the pulley has a key cut on its face and not on its length. It appears that the key acts more like a pin and is sandwiched under the large bolt and washer. I have included pictures of the pulley which shows the end cut keyway.
I am just trying to verify that it is more like a pin that holds the pulley in position relative to the crankshaft so as to properly position the ignition timing hash mark.
Regards
Paul
