aq 270 helmet pivot

Need help with removing AQ271 leg helmet double bolt pivot pin.Have both bolts removed but pin still sitting tight in the helmet,any easy method to do so,thanks.
Also found AQ170 outdrive manual ,can't find any for AQ171 with double bolt helmet.

Does your pin have the two smaller holes in it like this one?

If so, you just need a 1/4 bolt to thread into the smaller holes, which will push the pin up and out. If you do not have the smaller holes, you will have to get creative...

I made up a tool out of some old scrap steel rod I had kicking about. It insert into the two holes and comes out into a T handle. This allows me to be able to work it back and forth to get it out. I few taps on the slot to create a circular motion sure helps free it up. Then long nose pliers and patience should get you there.
