Hello,
I have a 1965 Glaspar with an AQ100 outdrive and a B18 engine. Yes, this is a classic. I have another '60s Glaspar that I bought for $100 for parts. I needed the prop and the only other one I could find for my boat was $135. So I have a spare AQ100 outdrive. The problem is I started to remove it and it won't come off of the stern. I removed the ball joint that tilts the drive and the shift cable. I removed the six bolts from the transom plate and the visible from the forward side of the bell housing is rusty so that may be what's impeding the removal of the drive but I don't really know because I have never removed an AQ100 drive before.
Is there something else I have to do before the drive will pull away from the stern?
Thanks,
Arthur.
