Should the raw water pump (I believe I used the right term, the one that moves lake water) be hard to spin?
I removed the housing while I'm getting at the timing belt. When I did so, I tried to spin it by hand (via the shaft on the back). I cannot spin it by hand. I can use a screwdriver to turn it, but it's hard.
Is this common? The engine would certainly have more than enough power to turn it, but I don't want to put it back together without asking. I was thinking about opening it up and physically looking at the impeller tomorow, but I want to make sure I can get the gasket I need locally first, I don't want to pull it apart and wait a week for a gasket
