I have replaced my timing belt and per the manual, I have all the gears and pulleys lined up correctly and I believe the timing belt is on in the correct position with all the lines and arrows in the correct location. My question is, if I manually turn the crank shaft in a clockwise position one full rotation, all the notches and belt making should line up back at TDC, is that correct? I would like to verify before I re-assemble everything and find out I am one gear off somewhere. Also, while installing the timing belt I was looking for a noticeable mark to set my timing on, but could not find one, do I need to make a scratch or marking so I can see it better at the notch of the crank shaft and use that as my timing mark? Thanks guys for your help.

Nope, you have to turn the crankshaft 2 full revolutions.

You set the timing roughly as shown in the manual. When you start the engine, you set the timing with a timing light. It's the only way to do it properly.

Thank you very much, how about the timing mark, is it the notch on the crank shaft gear?

Notch in the V-belt pulley on the crankshaft.

Re: AQ125a Timing belt

Don, that was it, I verified my belt position by to turns and they lined up as you said they would. So I reassembled everything, and he fired right up! I started to set the timing and got it set at 10 BTDC, However, my RPM's were at about 1100 rpm, and I was having issues getting past 3000 rpm to check the top end. It would want to die as soon as I hit that 3000 mark, but there were a few times I could get it up to 4800 and a little more if I coaxed it and moved it slow. My thoughts are I now need to move on to the carburetor, and make sure it is adjusted correctly. Any thoughts or input on if I am going in the correct direction?
