Need to replace theromsat not sure if coolant tubes need to be removed

Are you talking about a fresh water cooled over head cam engine?

It is the copper pipe that has the o rings that it in

Is the engine overheating? The oil cooler is easy to remove and clean, you will need new “O”rings.
If the pipes in the picture are not leaking leave them alone.
Sierra part #s for the copper pipes if you want them.
18-0606 copper pipe seals
18-3890 oil cooler seals.
18-3539 thermostat
