Hi all,
Specs:
1975 Tahiti Ski Boat 16ft
AQ130c engine
270 outdrive
14x17 prop (left rotation)
Finally got to take this boat on the water and I have a few problems that need to be addressed before I take her out again. So help and/or advice would be most welcome.
Problem/Query 1:
The engine is hard to start and does not like to idle and dies everytime I put it in gear. I have to rev the engine slightly before engaging the drive which makes it quite a hand full when trying to dock.
Problem/Query 2:
At WOT it will NOT go above 3000rpm and according to the speedo it is only approx 20mph.
Problem/Query 3:
The Steering is very stiff and trying to turn left is very very hard and the faster the boat goes the harder it is to turn left. If I let go of the steering wheel the boat wants to go to the right. The exhaust trim on the 270 drive is fully over the left.
Problem/Query 4:
The shift cable seems to be a bit stiff, can this be fixed or does it have to be replaced?
Thank you for your time.
