AQ131 bell housing, which way is up

I am pulling my AQ131 engine, and with the transmission off of the sterndrive, my bell housing 'snout' looks like it is installed wrong.
The part where the u-joint bellows connects has a long part.
Should this long part be in the 6-oclock position?

And at this point, I am guessing the bellhousing is not one large casting.

it is one large casting, and only fits the motor one way.
