I have an 87 bayliner capri with a 2.3 4cl aq131aci/0 . I've got it running over the last few days but it runs not well. Idles rough and inconsistent. Sometimes it needs a lot of gas to get going sometimesitmidles run in neutral. I've been running it in my driveway and I can get it going a while but after several min it stalls out. I changed the plugs today and that was a huge improvement. The vacuums hose had come disconnected and was all dried out so I replaced that as well. I have no experienced with carbed engines. I played around a little with the idle screw but I didn't notice any change. I'm addition my shifter has the option of high idle where you pull the handle out and can give it gas without turning the screw. For some reason the shifter doesn't pull out some cant put iron high idle.
