AQ131A Carb Plate

does it have to be there?? i did the math and it is pretty restrictive.. i really dont want to guess and hope it works without it...

anybody tried it??


also which direction does it go??

They direct the flow for better overall running.

i would suspect it to run cleaner at idle and midrange, but wot?? thats a teeny carb to start with...

ok i trust ya, ran it for ****s and giggles with and without, ran the same... ill just leave it on... need to rebuild the carb anyhow,

is this kit good??? if not should we get mallory or sierra...

I've used the kits on ebay without problems. Not sure what you gain with the Sierra kit. Besides the gaskets and accel pump diaphram, it's important that you thoroughly clean out all of the internal passages and jets. In addition to what's in the other kits, the OEM Volvo Penta kits contain some replacement screws, a main jet, and a screen but it's a little pricey.
