after a long day and a dead battery trying to start my motor I have looked up some info on timing and have found two answers ... hopefully someone can tel me which is correct!
I am trying to set intermediate shaft timing and one book says to line up with the mark to fire no 1, the other says to run 60 degrees past timing mark for number one (on the distributor). Anyone know which of these is correct?
My gut feeling tells me 60 deg past as TDC is where the stroke has just finished and is about to start again - dont I want to get it to fire when piston has moved rather than the start of the stroke?
Any advice appreciated, next problem will no doubt be that I have also moved the distributor slightly but that can come later
Thank you for any help
