Hello all, <br /><br />Is anyone familiar with Aquatron boats? I recently purchased a 1993 1800LXBR with at 3.0L 140HP (s/n 6805287) with and Alpha1 G2 outdrive (replaced at the marina I purchased it from). <br /><br />I'm fairly sure the motor is not original as I have seen 1 other identical boat to mine and it came with the 135HP.<br /><br />It looks like Aquatron Industries (S AND J MANUFACTURING) were in business from 1991 thru 2001. I have read that they were affiliated with Glasstream in Willacoochie GA, the plant was subsiquently purchased by Whittley Cruisers of Australia. (info: www.boating-industry.com)<br /><br />They are listed on Nadaguides.com but out side of some basic information I am at a dead end on facts about this boat. 18 feet in length, 7 foot beam, drafts 2.6 feet.<br /><br />I am very happy with its performance but as a DIYer I wish I could find more information (tank size, boat weight, matierials used (wood stringers??) Did they offer an older 140 HP or was my engine replaced.... <br /><br />Someone must know someone who has had one of these boats
