I was looking at the cooling diagram for my engine and I think I have it hooked up wrong.

Do you have any issues with engine temperatures right now? Just wondering why you are wondering!

Nope, they are hooked up wrong and would burn up all your exhaust hoses. The hoses going to the risers should go to the front of the thermostat housing, and the hoses going to the bottom of the manifolds should be going to the aft openings on the thermostat housing.

Thanks so much. I was looking at that image and thought holy!!!! I have been runing it like that for about a year. always haveing to slow down to cool off. I have been trouble shooting and checking and changing parts and nothing fixed it.

What damage would this cause after running it like that for some time?

I feel like an idiot.

Possibly the exhaust hoses from the risers to the exhaust Y, flappers, and possibly the water pocket and raw water pump housing in the outdrive.
