I have a 98 Johnson 115hp w/ ficht injection that needs a new fuel pump/vapor seperator, price is $598. My question is should I expect to pay more for parts for this motor since OMC went under, than say other brands of motors, yahama etc... thanks

All DFI/FFI parts are expensive no matter the brand, try boats.net they have part you need for $478.24 part#439347 and its a OEM part not aftermarket. Are you sure its this as I have only replace 2 of these in past years, most of the time its the lift pump cannot supply enough fuel to it.

Thanks for the link.....according to my mechanic it is.... he said the lift pump has been upgraded, and the boat sat up for awhile is the reason the fuel pump failed. i am just going by what he says.
