Are Power trims motor specific

Hi,
Does anyone know if mower trims are motor specific?

My buddy has a boat with an older early 80's 85 HP Merc thunderbolt that he is getting rid of. Mine is a 79 70 hp Johnson with manual tilt. He told me if I wanted the tilt on his motor I can have it ( everything all controls etc )

I can get part numbers if you think it's worth it. I would love to get this since mine is kind of a pain to raise and lower.

won't work, sorry you are stuck with finding a J/E unit for your motor or, CMC unit.
