I'm new to boating and I am trying to find out as much as possible before buying a used boat. Thankfully I found iboats. What do you guys think about an older suzuki 75hp. I know some guys swear buy omc or mercury, but I haven't heard anything about suzuki. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

It was a very good motor when new. What it is now depends on how it has been treated.

To put this in perspective, "boat engines don't generally wear out -- their owners kill them"!

If properly maintained, they are great engines. I have a 15hp on my boat that is in great shape but I also know it was kept well. They are great engines though.
