Are there two different outdrive lift bolts?

I finally put the outdrive on my boat today, first time it's been on since I owned it. When I put the bolt in that goes through the drive and both lift rams it was too long, by probably 1/4". Are there different bolts for the Cobra and King Cobra? I couldn't find the original bolt and not sure it was even with the boat when I got it. I ordered a used one off ebay just not sure it was the right one.

look in OMC parts, check the part numbers for different years, to see when they changed. What year is your OMC drive?

The boat is a 90 so I'm assuming at least one of the outdrives I have is a 1990. I know both have 4.3l tags on them.
