Are these rpms acceptable?

I have a 2005 16' Lowe Sea Nymph with a 05 25hp yamaha 4 stroke. I installed a tiny tack and my wot rpms reach 6140 with a light load and 6040 with a full load. I also hit 22.9mph with 2 people and a full load into a slight head wind. Is that ok? My prop is a 9 7/8x 10 1/2. Are those to many rpms for this motor. I hardly ever run wot. I most cruise between 4500-5000 rpms.

The max rpm is about 6000 so that seems fine ... cruising between 3500 - 4500 is fine .....

So I don't need to change propellers and drop the rpms a tad? When I'm running wot by myself and the rpms reach 6140 it doesnt seem to hit the limiter or anything. I just was always told to try to get as close as I could to the maximum rpms instead of over it. Maybe I was told wrong.

140rpm are not enough to worry about, hunter.

If you add 1" of pitch you won't be able to reach 6,000 and your hole shot with a full load will suffer.
