I am about to get the interior of my house repainted in my absence, the painter said that he can get a good deal on Coronada paint, a paint brand that i am not familar with.
Any info on the quality and price of this product would be of much help to me, i am currently having some internet connection problems and my ability to do searches are hampered at the moment.

I have used some of their products they are a specially company(higher end fixes)I have never used their interior wall paints, just as long it is their best you should be good to go.An option I might use if I was you, pay the difference between you painters GOOD DEAL and something that you might be more conferable with Sherwin Williams,Porter,Ben Moore (no order there) just remember use top of the line or their best, remember the painter is working for you if you like to call I could go into more detail just PM me to get phone number or I can call you

we use sherwin williams, get a decent discount and it's good paint. i'm sure your guy gets a discount on the coronada.

you can supply the paint if you'd rather something else.

I'm no expert but should be. My LOL watches too many of those DIY shows. Usually repaint the rooms every 3-4 years. Never heard of that brand but good paint can be had at a reasonable price. Did you pick out the colors that the painter had or are going to get custom tinted paint? The reason I'm asking is maybe he had this paint left over from a previous job and is trying to palm the paint off on you. He will make out charging twice for the same paint.

Spunkyjr the chances of 2 people wanting the same color and product in the same week ,month,or year are slim to none.I would guess that the paint store is not going to carry a certain line anymore. We always leave all color paint on the job the only thing we carry over from job to job is ceiling white, gloss white, and black gloss(all are considered stocking colors)

Eaglejim the reason I mention it is that the neighbor up the street does general contracting. He's always bring home "extra" paint and supplies from his jobs. Charges the new customer the price of paint or supplies that someone else has already bought. Makes a nice profit. He has enough siding, paint, wood, roofing, electrical, pluming supplies, etc to start his own store. That's why when ever I have anything done by contrator all supplies left over stay with me, even if I will never use it.

spunky...is it new home construction? that would be different, they just use the same paint colors on every house.

i agree that any leftovers that are specially colored should be left with the homeowner.

I think if he(your neighbor) learned how to estimate his product better he would not have so much of what you listed and he would have more money in his pocket instead of in his backyard or garage because no matter how well you think you know what you have you end up wasting time (time is money) looking for what you need(I let Lowes and HD be my warehouse and SW houses all my paint). And there are a lot of times when we have to haul of the left overs of the job because the customer doesn't what it cluttering up their yard 99 percent of the folks that I work for want ALL material removed no matter how much xtra is left over(1 or 2 4ft boards) as one once told me "I couldn't figure it out the first time what makes you think I will figure it out once you leave" And for the record if for some reason I do pull something out of my garage they get charged for labor only,Sorry for the rant but we(paint contractors) are not all alike :D
