We just have the one husky and he gets so excited when he sees me hook up the truck/trailer. Husky's are not supposed to like the water (I have read) but once he got wet, he now swims like a champion. When we beach it in Sandy Cove, he runs up and down the beach, swims after everyone and likes to jump into all the boats. I'm afraid he is going to make someone angry. But, he is such a lover.:)

We have to leash my dog in the boat or she'll jump out to go swimming.

Crazy lab.

Took my dog a bout a year to get used to the boating idea. Now as soon as she sees the boat she's in the water and trying to climb in. She also likes to go visit other boats when we raft up.

I had a Scottish Terrier that loved "his" boat. He'd get in sniff it from one end to the other and when he was sure everything was okay, then I could take us out on the water. He'd lay up front on the flipping deck and was the best fishing buddy a guy could ask for. We lost him to cancer 2 years ago and I think about him every time we go out on the water now.

Our Brittany LOVES the boat. When the boat is hooked up she starts getting antsy. When she knows that it is loaded and ready to go, she will lay under it until someone opens a door for her to get in.
Our last Brit was the same way, maybe even worse! Or better, depending on how you look at it:).
When we're on the water and turn the bend to the sandbar, we have to hold her or she jumps in and starts to swim in.

We have made some very dear friends because of our dogs:) out on the water.

We just don't feel right if she isn't on board when we're out.
I will post some pics of them when I get home.

Great pics everybody! I don?t take my boxers as much as I used to. They love people (especially children) but they get aggressive if other dogs approach us. I only take them if I?m going to the lake very early, before other people with dogs show up

Nope. Our Cairn Terrier hates the water. If you pick her up close to the waters edge, she will climb up on your shoulder and dig in. I would swear that she could make a fist with her claws.
