Re: ARIMA BOATS
They're made up here, and a good boat for the money. I looked at them closly before finally deciding on a Seaswirl Striper (I prefered the way the Striper handled the chop with its deeper V.) The trade-off is that the Arima, with its flatter stern can use a much smaller motor and get the same speed as a deep V: just slow down, I'm told, when it's really choppy. The Arima has lots of room in the stern as well. Most around here use a single 4-stroke. The only other criticism I've heard is the more limited headroom in either the hard or soft-top; for me, since I'm shorter, it would have been no big deal. Both the Arima and Striper were obviously designed by and for fishermen.<br />Good luck; let us know what you buy!
