Re: ARIMA BOATS

They're made up here, and a good boat for the money. I looked at them closly before finally deciding on a Seaswirl Striper (I prefered the way the Striper handled the chop with its deeper V.) The trade-off is that the Arima, with its flatter stern can use a much smaller motor and get the same speed as a deep V: just slow down, I'm told, when it's really choppy. The Arima has lots of room in the stern as well. Most around here use a single 4-stroke. The only other criticism I've heard is the more limited headroom in either the hard or soft-top; for me, since I'm shorter, it would have been no big deal. Both the Arima and Striper were obviously designed by and for fishermen.<br />Good luck; let us know what you buy!

Re: ARIMA BOATS

I have also been looking at new boats and I did look at the Arima Sea Ranger - It seems to be a good boat, a little pricy for the size the only thing I see wrong with it is the cockpit does selfbail so if you leave it in the water and it rains your bilge pump will run down the batteries, if you don't leave it in the water it would be okay. Happy boating!
