Re: Arkansas traveler Emblems

Welcome to iboats.

I doubt you will find any and many people have made their own emblems by using molding methods and epoxy.

Fairly old boat and the emblems do not last.

One option would be to draw the emblem in a graphics program like Photoshop or Inkscape and have vinyl decals made.
This image from Fiberglassics, might be a good place to start.

I did this for a Sea Star restoration that I did and they came out very nice.

Hi cjdjoe. Welcome to iboats. Great to have anther AT owner here in the forums! Got any pics of your boat? I have what I think is a late '50 (59?) DUT-14, aluminum runabout that I have converted to a fishing machine/skiff. She's nothing to look at, but gets the job done. As fate would have it, she still has both badges. They were painted over by what appears to be white house paint but the PO at some point, but are otherwise intact and in good shape, and I don't really need them. I'll post some pics when I get home and you can let me know if you're interested in them.

If the previous poster is not interested I would be... I have a 1959 Arkansas Traveler DU-14 that I am restoring.
Great Grandfather bought this brand new on a Holsclaw Trailer for my grandfather... I found it in the woods behind
his house after he passed.

Shipping would be to 03878

Hi jcoppah24. Here are some pics of boat and the badges. I'm not entirely sure it is a DUT-14. That's just my best guess based on my research. I've owned several boats over the years and this one is by far my favorite. Very solid and well built out of thick aluminum. Mine has a nice V in the front and can take a chop pretty well. As you can see, I've converted it to sort of White trash, tiller drive, center console set up. The original fiberglass cap is long gone. Let me know if these are what you're looking for.

KFA - Your logo's being on the back of the boat, and mine being on the front... I would think that
the difference in bend would make them crack, or cause them not to mount properly.
