Armada Marada 2100 worth Buying?

Hi!

After getting my Glastron Sx170 stolen this winter I'm looking into buying my next boat, it's a 1995 Armada Marada 2100, here's the post;

I heard these have the OMC lower unit which is not recommended for purchasing, any ffedback would be appreciated.

Obsolete Engine with an Obsolete drive. OMC is no longer in business. Sure for $350 American you can buy a kit that allows you to convert that Cobra to an Alpha 1 Gen 2, but then you have to spend $1395 to get that outdrive. And when you are done you still have a Ford 351 engine that isn't made anymore.
Wouldn't be my first choice of a boat, and that price, no matter what it exchanges to, is INSANE. Good luck.

Apparently the engine was redone as he got it in an auction and it was busted.


The canadian dollar being @ parity, how much would you think this boat would be worth?

He's willing to let it go for $7300

Half of that, at the most. But hey, that's just me. I want my 16 year old boats to have available engines and outdrives. I am sure other guys feel differently. But the asking and alledged "take price" are way out of line!

Thank you for your replies, I looked around and pricing varies around $5000 in the States, thus $6000 would seem like a fair offer as I like the shape of the boat and seller made an effort in lowering price to $6500.
