Has anybody ever used ArmorAll to polish your Fiberglass boat? I seen a guy at the ramp in a nice looking bass boat and while talking to him it looked like the silver color towards the bottom was polished stainless. It was just shiny as heck. He said he uses ArmorAll on the boat to keep it shiny. Never heard of it. Just wondered if any one else had. Say's he uses it on the motor also.

I haven't seen anybody use Armor All, but I've seen plenty of folks use 303 Protectant on there fiberglass. I doubt either one lasts very long before washing away.

I tried Armorall on my '80's Prindle catamaran. Looked good for a few days, buy faded quickly.

I've only used it on my four wheeler looks new and shiny but the next day looks like it did before
Plus armorall is super slippery NEVER put it on the truck bumper you will have to buy new shins!

I don't know if he just wiped it down with it or just a dry towel but that baby was shiny. Maybe I'll try a small spot and see how it does. I don't think I can hurt my old 1978 ProCraft. It is faded pretty bad on the top surface and faded on the sides.

i did worse. i used "black magic" (think thick armor all) on the faded paint on my 75 trams am. i put money into the drivetrain, i wasn't drivin' a cooz cruiser...it worked.

i did the vaseline thing on my boat, only to find out it was blue, not gray.

i did try the "ice" version of armor all on my gelcoat...that was a no go.

There are so many good polishes on the market designed for fiberglass boats. Easy to use and effective. Why would you want to try Armorall? I use Star Brite w/ ptef but there are lots of others.

i fit that category. though i have a reason for using it. i use it only on my hardtop. it's textured like a vinyl roof on a car. but it's fiberglass i think. probably painted. 303 is the only thing so far i've found that does this surface any justice. waxes just get down in the little crevices and is impossible to get out. so, 303... i do it maybe 3 times a year.. my top is not a particularly shiny surface anyways, but does deepen and bring the color out after application. i wax the rest of the boat. maybe 2 times a year. the boat looks about the same shiny wise top vs rest of boat for that qty. of applications..
