My fiberglass boat is faded and oxidized from the sun. I have been waxing and buffing to bring it back....this is hard work and lasts only a short time. Yesterday I got a wild hair and armoralled the whole boat. To my surprise it looked great!! Has anyone else tried this? I don't know how long it will last but it only took a few minutes to apply....it even brought back the decals!

CORRECTION!!!!.... I used Turttle wax "Extreme" detailers protectent. Got it from Big Lots for .99 probably just an emulation of armorall. Anyway, i was amzed at the results.

Re: Armorall spray

I have met someone who swore by using Armorall on their car finish with good results.

I have swore by it on almost every plastic for over 20 years, but have never used it on hard finishes.

Not sure how long the Amorall will last, but you might want to try a real spray-on automobile wax next time.

They are about as easy to use and seem to last a good while (at least on my SUV). I will never go back to paste wax (muscles won't handle it :( )

Re: Armorall spray

Its main ingredient is silicone and it will accellerate the damage done by UV rays. Try baby oil.
