I'm in the Atlanta, GA area and store my boat with a cover on it and keep it in a covered boat storage facility. Recently, I've had an issue with dozens of these bugs just underneath the boat cover that look like ladybugs, but I think they are this invasive species of Asian Lady Beetles.

Hopefully it will turn cold enough here soon and will kill them off, but until then, when I go to take the boat cover off, literally dozens of them are crawling on the underside of the cover, or on the covered areas of my boat.

I don't want to spray any kind of bug spray or pesticides on my cover or on my boat, but not sure how to make these things go away.

Get a large bottle of rubbing alcohol and pour it on a plate situated under the cover of the boat. The alcohol fumes will penetrate the tracheol system of the insects. It will cause dehydration and dissolving of the chitinous layers of the bugs and they will die. It will only work if it is still warm enough for the alcohol to evaporate. The higher the alcohol content ,the better. Ether which is a catalytic dehydration of alcohol will also work and at lower temperatures. Just don't smoke nearby or stick your head under the boat cover.
