How do you like your boat? Is there anything I should watch out for when buying one?

I almost bought one until I went through it with a fine tooth comb. Too much shoddy fit and finish and skimpy materials. The real confirmation of this was looking into resale prices - they drop like a bomb the day after you buy it.

I believe Bayliner quality control is much better these days, although it is still a mass-market "price" boat.

Have you checked the Bliner owners club?

Most boats in this category that are 16 or 17 years old will have already been hit with the major resale value drop. The biggest factors in what it's now worth will be the engine/outdrive and whether there's any dryrot issues.

The Bayliner owners club would be a good place to look for specific issues.

I owned a '96 for 8 years (and was extremely pleased), but I have no idea whether quality control or design issues existed for the earlier ones.
