I just put together a 12ft. jon boat with a 15hp Johnson motor. It has 5x's the rated power. When I go in medium speed with it the boat shoots two guisers up from each side of the motor and back of the boat. I know that the lower unit and foot sticks down farther than usual. I am just trying to figure out what to do to make it work.
I know that I could fabricate something on the top of the transom to make sit taller on the back of the boat, or maybe I could buy some kind of jack plate for it. I have even thought about buy in a short shaft lower unit... If they make them.
I just want the problem fixed. Please, any suggestions??
