Compression is good at 118 on all four cylinders, spark jumps 7/16 gap easily it seems and fuel delivery is there with new carb kits and blown out with air. I have followed the sync and link from the manual to the letter with the exception of using joe reeves method of setting WOT, several times. Motor starts and runs at idle in test tank at home so i take it to the lake, to finish tuning sequence on water. When in water it will not stay running, when i do get it to run long enough to put in gear i give it throttle and it goes maybe 900/1000 rpm and thats it, often it spits back and stalls out and is difficult to restart. What am i missing or doing wrong perhaps? any thoughts would be appreciated as i am at the limit of my limited knowledge here and the manual is not detailed enough when it comes to trouble shooting.

Well, thought i would post the answer which was my own stupidity. Two screws on each carb mixing chamber, i had missed tightening two of them, one each on two seperate carbs. Guess it was sucking a lot of air and not much else. I posted it because i thought it may be something for someone else to consider if they are out of options, maybe like me its not what you did, its what didn't do. Motor runs fine.
