Does anyone know the minimun rpms my 2003 Yammy 4-stroke 90 hp must achieve if the alternator is going to start charging the cranking battery instead of drawing it down?

I spend a lot of time at idle speed since I do a lot of drift fishing. I am wondering if, at that speed, the alternator is charging my battery or not.

This is particularly important for those of us who do not have a seperate battery for electronics and house, since it could well be that one could deplete the battery on long days out if, at low rpms, the motor is, along with the electronics and house, also drawing the battery down.

JohnK

Scout 2003 177 sf, 90 Yam. 4-stroke.
