What should the temerature be on the exhaust elbows in relation to the rest of the exhaust components? I have a Volvo SX. The exhaust elbows feel hotter than the exhaust manifolds do and am curious. Thanks for the help.

Re: At what temp?

The risers usually are warmer than the manifolds. The risers shouldn't be so hot that you can't touch them.Sometimes one is hotter than the other and that usually means there is problems on the way(bad impeller, clogged riser etc.) J

Re: At what temp?

Thanks for the replies but just to be sure, I am not talking about the exhaust manifolds or the risers I am talking about the elbows after those items. If 160 degress is it then I know I am good but please clarify for me. Thanks
