Just wondering about what my RPM's should be at with my 60HP. It is a 4Cyl 2002 model. Also is it OK to run it at WOT or am I going to kill the motor earlier if I run a higher RPM? Currently im seeing 5800RPM adjusting trim will get 6000 easy and 6100 at times. At 6000+ RPM I do have porpoising issues. Also the boat is a 17ft Carolina skiff semi V.

depends on if it is a four stroke or two...if two, I wouldnt let it get that high...around 5500 to 5800. If four stroke, 6000 - 6100 should be fine. In my opinion, I wouldnt ever hold any engine at WOT for long periods of time...but hey, thats just me
