Attaching Transducer Question

Is it possible (& work correctly) to attach a transducer designed for transom mount to a trolling motor? I have a extra Humminbird 400ID that i'd like to use up front if possible

Did that for years before Minn Kota offered the built-in transducers.

I have done that for awhile too..with my port a bote..I had a suction cup for it but it kept coming off so i just went and bought some hose clamps and the rest is history

Just another tip if you hadn't thought about it:

Run the transducer wire up the shaft of the trolling motor & secure with zip ties. This will keep the wire from getting pinched in the trolling motor mount when putting trolling motor up & down.
