Has anyone used or heard of Audiopipe? I am considering adding the Audiopipe APMR-1504 amplifier to the stereo unit I'm installing in my boat (a 19ft Galaxy Runabout). I currently have the following pieces for my stereo system:

Sony DSX-MS60
2 Alpine SPS-M600 Coaxial 2-way speakers
2 Clarion CM-1625 Coaxial 2-way speakers
1 Kicker Marine Impulse 12m subwoofer

I'm on a limited budget so don't want to spend more than $120 on the amp, but want to make sure it is of a good quality and work with the current pieces I have.

They are OK. Not too cheap, but definatly not junk. Should work fine if you use good enough power wire.

Re: Audiopipe Amplifier

I found the amp for just under $130 and am planning to use 14ga wire. I'm also planning to hook the entire stereo system up to it's own battery with a battery switch.

Re: Audiopipe Amplifier

Depending on the size of the amp, I dont think 14g is big enough for even the smallest amp. How many watts is it? is there fuses in the end of the amp? you need to provide enough amps to equal the total of the amp fuses. 20 to 40 amps use at least 8g power and ground. Over 40 amps, use a 4g power and ground. Make sure your battery voltage never goes below 11 volts, or the amp will draw excessive current and could burn up! It would be best to have the battery connected to the charge system of the boat.

Re: Audiopipe Amplifier

Output Power (RMS):
75 Watt x 4 Channel @ 4 Ohm Stereo
150 Watt x 4 Channel @ 2 Ohm Stereo
300 Watt x 2 Channel @ 4 Ohm Bridged

1500 Watt MAX

There are fuses at the end of the amp
