auto oiler

Is it better to take out the automatic oiler on my 89, 30 horse suzuki motor????........its been sitting for two years..........and just mix the oil and gas up together..........

it is gear driven off of the crank shaft, just make sure it is working properly and keep it and all lines and tank clean
