Ive cleaned and rebuilt the carbs on my neighbors 1996 merc 50 4 stroke,and was wondering the purpose of the auto starter mounted below the choke solenoid.My factory service manual doesnt shed much light on the subject.Does it work in conjunction with the electric choke? Thanks for any insight you may have!
