Auto water pump w/closed cooling motor?

Volvo AQ131D motor with closed cooling. Will automotive water pump be o.k? Aloha!!!

Not sure if its the same exact configuration for the marine application, mine was not on the AQ125A. I took off the pump and sent it in to a guy in Michigan, h2opumpman.com, and for about $70 including shipping he cleaned, painted it and replaced bearing and seals. Works great now about 1/4 price of a marine replacement.

Just have to make sure it pumps water in the same direction.

Thanks for the replies. Couldn't find h20pumpman but did some googling and found WaterPumpMan.com, [EDIT: removed email address]
