My boat has a built in auxillary gas tank. When I try to use it the motor will run for a few minutes and stall and the primer bulb sucks flat. Any ideas on what could cause this?

I have not checked it yet. Is there anyway to rule out whether the vent or pickp tube is the problem?

To rule out the vent, just loosen the gas cap so air can enter the tank.

I would think if the fuel line is clogged, the motor would stall sooner. To check for fuel line clog, remove tank fill cap and disconnect the hose from the motor. If it has a quick disconnect on it, you will need to insert a tooth pick or something similar into the end to hold the ball valve open. Place end of hose in gas safe container and pump primer bulb. If it pumps gas with ease, it is probably the vent. If you pump it and the bulb does not re-inflate, there is a clog.

A faulty antisiphon valve will cause this symptom.
Its the outlet from the fuel tank that the fuel line hooks to. It has a spring and ball valve built in it that can stick and prevent fuel from being pulled from tank by engine.
