Can anyone give me some tips on avoiding bad gas problems in the future- aside from taking Beeno- ha ha! I was thinking of going with a smaller tank, so I'm not letting fuel sit in the tank for too long. Also, could I add a stabilizer to fuel even when it's not going to sit around for months, just to extend the useful life of it, or as a safety measure? I have an 18hp 4-stroke Nissan and I only burn through a three gallon tank twice a season. Which means my first three gallons sits in the tank for about two months before it's used up. Any other tips for infrequent use.

Shoot, I just realized that this is probably not the right forum for this question. Please move it mr. moderator. Thanks and sorry.

Please repost in the Outboard Non-repair Forum, oncebitten.

Moving posts does not work well in this new format.
