I am sure that questions like this have been asked many times but a search on the forum surprisingly has no hits. I have an old Avon Redcrest which seems to be in reasonable condition but it does not have a solid floor. I have been told that these are no longer available. Does anyone have the dimensions of the flooring that Avon used and I will have a shot at creating my own. I believe the original was in 3 pieces. Thanks.

Welcome to Iboats,

Will doubt anyone here will have in use an Avon Redcrest, a pupular watercraft in Europe, don't know about in USA ? If not mistaken that model were available in 2 versions : with an inflatable air deck and wooden panel floor. So this is what you're looking for :

Sorry, can't help any further, don't have Avons down here, will be a task to determine the lenght and width of the complete floor seen to fabricate one exact same, will also need to fabricate the 2 horizontal black stringers that locks all 3 wooden panels in place. Fabricating a one single panel floor will probably be hard to snug fit it inside the Sib if were duplicating the original 3 panel floor's lenght and width with just one panel. ?

That looks like the puppy. I will continue to dig around. Maybe a supplier can put me in touch with the manufacturer who might have original drawings (no doubt on parchment with a quill pen!)

Check with Defenderdotcom an Avon dealer if can order a set of OEM floorboards from the Avon factory, if available expect to be darn pricy, don't expect for those guys to send the requested dimensions information of the floorboards, their business is selling inflatables boats and their spare parts/accesories.

I did contact am Avon supplier here in the UK but was told that this product was no longer available. Even if they were it could be cheaper to buy a new boat.

A pitty to hear about that, your last UK resource will be to contact Ribnet, Sib guys posting there will surely have an Avon Redcrest who could send you the floors and stringer dimensions. I wish you the best of luck...
