Hi everybody, I just bought a 2003 Johnson 115 HP Four Stroke, EFI motor to replace the one on my Wellcraft, from what the previous owner told me, the motor has only 50 HS., he had medical problems and it was sitting in storage for almost 3 years and then he tried to started with the old fuel and of course it didn't work.

I had to buy the fuel vapor separator thing (very expensive), fuel filter, some electrical minor stuff, the flywheel moves but it feels kinda heavy, I have read the JB article about awakening an sleeping motor, but my question is, can I use Deep Creep to spray the cylinders? and let them soak for a couple of days? or should I use some other kind of stuff?

im not so woried about spraying some oil in the cylinders.

here is what you should do before anything else.

1 - change oil and oil filter new oil drain washer
2 - drain and flush the vst, fuel rail, high presure fuel filter.
change litle inline filter
3 - put fresh gas in it
4 - new spark plugs
5 - new waterpump and termostat
6 make sure your battery is fully charged and al conections are clean and tight.
7 - check gear lube.
8 - make sure its propped at 6000 rpm wide open

good luck

thanks reeldutch, I have done all that but the thermostat and water pump, the vst is new and I'm gonna install it probably next week, but my concern was about using deep creep or just tcw-3, since deep creep is a fogging oil I was concern about too much flammable stuff inside the cylinder when firing up the engine.
