Brigs??? As in Briggs and Stratton?? As in yard implement engines??<br /><br />If so...I guess anything's possible. But I wouldn't count on pulling many skiers with one though... <br /><br />I've seen boats powered by similar engines...loooooong drive shafts protruding out the back of what appears to be an air cooled engine. Usually see these on the Discovery Channel that's doing a feature on some Asian or South American country... <br /><br />Walt
Thanx for the feedback..<br />I had seen them on 18' or less Skiffs,<br />true, Not much for speed, but an economical way to cruise around the sounds and rivers.<br /><br />It's just something i wanted to "project" on.....I like being different.
I helped an older gentleman pull one out of a boat a couple of years ago. It was an older 20hp Briggs & Stratton motor I don't remember what exactly it was hooked to for gear selection but it did have reverse and a straight shaft drive. A real beast to get started too, I believe it was out of an old fishing or crab boat
