The economy can't be too bad...boats are selling faster than I can get to them. Here is my latest consideration. I am anxious to see this one and have high hopes. They are asking $8900 and throwing in all the goodies needed to jump right in. Please tell me what ya think.

Re: Back again - Bryant opinions please

Braynt makes a very high quality boat.

Something is wrong with the ad though, MErc never made a 220 HP fuel injected 5.7 V8. If it has 220 HP, it's either as carbureted 5.0 V8 or a fuel injected 4.3 V6. If it's a fuel injected 5.7, it should have a lot more than 220 HP.

It is a 5.7 and the manual states it has 220 Prop HP, so the engine output could be 250 - 260? It is a throttle body injection and I am now wondering if it could be re-jetted and re-chipped to get a little more out of it?

Oh yea...we bought the boat!

Nice boat! Good for you!

Maybe there's a chip out there but good luck finding one. Better bet is to work with the prop pitch to optimize it to your load and altitude.
Enjoy!

Had a Bryant and they are excellent boats. You will not find a more involved company with their boat owners. If they made small cruisers I would still have one.

Congrats,

Very nice boat.

Bryant is not a very well known manufacturer. Probably because they produce less than a 1000 units a year. Their quality, fit and finish are one of the best in their class. They do not use chopper guns while laying the fiberglass which makes a huge difference in the ride and feel of the boat.
